tomtom 5.2 on c600 keeps going back to phone home screen

Hi could anyone be so kind to advise me with tt been using it for 2 years but so fed up with it crashing! Tried reloading many times but now cant get it running and going to Devon on Friday! Thanks Lee

I ran TT 5.2 on a Imate SP3 (C500) and, if memory serves me right, you do this:


Create a file called CurrentMap.dat in notepad with the following single line in it

" \Storage Card\Great-Britain-Map\

There is a single blank space after the final \ There is no closing "
Of course you can change the map folder name in the file to correspond with the map folder that you have.

Copy your new file to your phone here:
\Storage\My Documents\TomTom

I feel sure this is where your problem lies.

Devon on Friday could prove interesting, the MoD are carrying out some GPS jamming in that area so you might find the unit doesn't work too well down their - just thought you should know before you blame the kit if you get it working - Mike
