hey can someone let me know if i need to just pay the first months payment to get my n40i GPS red light and speed camera detector active? or do i need to continue paying every month to keep the detector active? isnt it meant to be for free? im hoping it is just the first payment to activate it then it will work forever! am i right???
please help, its driving me bonkers like my n40i

You will get access to the camera database for as long as you pay. The first download will work forever, but will gradually become out of date as cameras are added and changed. If you keep paying then you can keep downloading the latest versions.

i should also point out that it is not a detector - it merely warns you of known locations.

Registration is free.
Membership is £2 per month or £19 per year.
Advantage of being a paid up member is free downloads of the PGPSW safety camera database, free competitions and discounts on certain sat. nav items.

Blimy Dave, you don't want much do you.
Lets get this right, for £2 yes £2, you want a speed camera database to last for life, then hint that £2 is too much and it should be free.
What happens when an old camera is removed or new one added, i take it you will complain that the database is wrong.
You must be one of lifes "big spenders", surprised you managed to lever the money out of your pocket to get the n40i GPS in the first place - or was it a freebie?
