Hi,
Please can someone help me? I have a Garmin Nuvi 310. I have managed to download the speed camera database and up load to my nuvi, no problem. When I come to download the POI's and install them using the POI loader, they just don't show up on my Nuvi??? I have updated the Nuvi software to the latest 3.90 to counteract the problem Nuvi had with uploading a 257 POI's, but still POI's??
I'm tearing my hair out with this, can anyone help before I go completly bald!!!
Regards,
Paul |

They will be there if you did it correctly.
All POIs and cameras should be in the same folder on your PC whne downloading.
After the download try navigating to Custom POIs (not too familiar with the 3xx menu structure as the 660 I have is different to my wife's 310.
Anyhow... if they have downloaded theu will appear as categories in this menu and you should be able to open a category and select a single POI and choose to display it on the map. This allows you to see the POI and check the bmp image.
By default the zoom levels on the map are set too far out to display the POIs - try zooming in around an area you know there are POIs - they should then appear. (It's easier to do this in the 2D map mode). _________________ Phil |

Hi congey2002 and welcome! 8)
I had exactly the same issue until I started to understand the instructions I was getting better. I'm a right noobie with satnav so I'll take you from there and apologies if I'm being over simplistic.
Once you have unzipped each category ie Post Offices, Garages, etc place them each in their own folder ie a folder for Post Offices containing the .csv and the .bmp file - do that for each category. Now, what I did was I created another folder called Custom POIs and into that I copied each category I wanted to put in my 310D. It is THIS folder that I had POI Loader upload to my nuvi. Once installed, I navigated WHERE TO - MY LOCATIONS - CUSTOM POIs and they were all there under there own headings ie Post Offices, Garages and I could open them in turn.
I hope this is what you're looking for .. |
