It has been two weeks since last time I used my Tomtom 510. Powered it on, the screen does show sth, but it is frozen forever. Later on, I searched related info. in the internet and thought it is the HW reset problem. Use paper clip, reset Tomtom, it does turn off but I got the same problem after I turned it on.
Tried to connect it to PC through USB, it can talk to PC. I deleted and re-installed the map and application. disconnect it from PC and turn it on, the same problem happened.
The funny thing is when I deleted the map, and disconnect it from PC, it goes through the screen where it used to locked to and shows the no map (not surprising). But when I installed the map later on, it is frozen to the same screen again.
I called Tomtom today and was told to charge it for 2 hrs (exactly 2 hrs) and then reset for 5 s, and then press power button for another 5 s. I did it, again I got the same problem.
I noticed the info shown on screen when press power button for longer time, it shows boot voltage is 4.125v, is it usual?
