Tomtom Maps of Europe DVD / Tomtom one V2 GB / Tomtom one XL

I currently own ( legally )

Tomtom one V2 GB version
Tomtom Navigator 6 Maps of Europe DVD ( currently installed on HP Ipaq 4700 )

My question is can I update the Tomtom One V2 GB by installing a new SD card and the seemless map of Europe from the DVD?

I currently use the HP Ipaq but after using the TT one GB, I find it easier to use.

Alternatively if I were to buy a new Tomtom one XL GB, could I then use the maps from the DVD to effectively turn it into aTomtom One XL Europe ?
Doing this would save me abot £30 over the price of buying the aTomtom One XL Europe to start with.

Any ideas?

After purchasing a Tomtom One XL GB yesterday.....

I can confirm that you can use the Map of Europe from the DVD, you just need a larger card than it comes with.
It was supplied with a 256Mb SD card holding GB map.
I copied the entire contents of this card onto my 1Gb card, then removed the GB map as even a 1Gb card can't fit both maps on.
In its place I loaded on the Map of Europe (918 Mb?), I was asked for the code from the credit card thing that came with the DVD, after entering this it loaded on and works just fine.

I think the supplied GB Map is newer although not the newest 6.75 version and it also has more detailed street level mapping of Ireland.
