unable to save poi settings

When i turn off my tom tom on my ipaq 2190 all of the settings that i have made to my poi.s are lost and the default pois are then selected on start up. I had this problem a while back and i believe that a file needs to be changed in the maps folder. (I have just carried out a clean reset and therefore lost all settings). does anybody know how to help me??

It's a problem that seems to be very random. I suggest you have a Search for 'lost settings', 'favourites' or 'forgets' to see the various things users have tried.
