Ok, new to satnav, but having read through countless reviews, keeping to a budget and finding a decent deal on Amazon, i opted for the 310.
Now for the questions.
-Does the nuvi have much internal memery? If not, which is the best mem card to get?
-Has the latest firmware fixed the limited number of POI categories causing the unit to fail?
(silly question) Do i have to subscribe to obtain the speed camera database?
Delivery is due this weekend, so i thought i would give myself an information overload! |

Enough for UK mapping and speed cameras and POIs. If you want lots of MP3s or european mapping then you may need more memory.

I believe so.

Your unit may come with a limited period free subscription to Gamin's own speed camera database. Alternatively you can subscribe on this site and download an alternative speed camera database. |

Thanks for the info.
I have another....
What about map updates and such. I'm not bothered about Europe. Do Garmin provide these for free or will I have to fork out when newer maps become available? |

If your unit came with v8 maps, then register on the Garmin website, and they will send you the v9 DVD for free, and provide a free unlock code.
If it came with v9, then when v10 gets released (and all subsequent releases), you will need to pay for the new maps. This costs roughly £40. _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |
