Haicom Evermore Receiver Help

I have
HP Ipaq RZ1710
Arkon Powered Cradle
Haicom Evermore GM-R700 Reciever

To join my reciever to my cradle I have a PS2(Mouse) to RJ11 Converter.
Now when its all plugged in, I get power to my reciever however cannot pick up a signal up off it through tomtom 6.0 having tried com1 etc etc.

Im just wondering if the wiring has been done right on the converter, at the rj11 end I have
Black
Green
White
Red

Presumably there is nothing wrong with the power part, considering swopping the green and white over cause they are (tx,rx).

Any idea's, ready to shleve this

Swapping the Tx/Rx over sounds a jolly good idea. Quite often the cable supplied on a PDA or GPS unit is to connect to a PC. You need to swapo TX/RX to get a PDA to talk to a GPS using this type of cable.
