Hi

I finally got my Ipaq 2210 from Global Pos Systems at a great price of £270!

I was wondering, does anyone know which screen protectors are best to get, that you can't see and won't bubble?

Also does the ipaq have one on it from day one?, as I know it had a big protector on with warning badge, but this was for safety only.

As I cannot tell if it has one on or not?

Help!

Once you've removed the warning label from the screen, there's no protector on it at all. If you think you see a plastic layer, that's actually the touchscreen layer (which has to be on top of the screen, where it's vulnerable to scratches and other damage).

I can wholeheartedly recommend Pocket PC Techs' WriteSHIELD - it's what I'm using on my iPAQ 3970. It's not cheap, but it's durable, totally bubble free and somewhat anti-reflective (which is great for in-car navigation use). There's three protectors in the pack; my Pocket PC is used very heavily, including for stylus based text entry, and I'm still on my first. I've just kept cleaning it and reusing it (the Scotch Magic Tape trick for removing dirt from the clingy side really does work - though I would recommend you use genuine Scotch Magic Tape, and not a cheaper clone).

They're available in the UK from Expansys. I recommend the Deluxe pack; the cleaning spray is great for cleaning Pocket PCs, as well as laptop screens and flat panel monitors.

For the 2210, the Deluxe pack can be ordered here.

I second David's comments. WriteSHIELD is far superior to other protectors I've seen. I tend to use the spray once every 2 months or so and it makes the protector look like new again. Not cheap but worth it.
