weirdness abounds....
Finally got it connected via My Computer (after a reset or three), updated speedcameras ok via My computer (file copy). But the moment I clicked on My Device in TT Home - it reverted to map mode. Reclickedon it in My computer and TT asked me if I wanted to connect. Clicked on my device on TT Home - disconnected. THis is like a yo-yo. Only change is I have upgraded to new version TT home before (trying to) connect TT today.
Is this possibly a problem with latest versoin of TT HOme?

Or in English , that button (my device) you clicked on in home disconnects the tomtom from your computer. You need to click on download updates (i think its called that) in the top left hand corner of the screen, to check you have the latest software on your tomtom. You may have to click on login first as well. |

I figured I was going to have to admit my own stupidity one day. When the TT would not connect, then My Device said "no device connected" when clicked. I failed to note its subtle change of colour when TT had connected, so of course when I clicked it, it disconnected TT.
DUH (and apologies for wasting any reader's time - shame TT wastes so much of mine with needing so many resets of varying lengths and sundry other niggles)
Hey-ho - back to real life
