There have been extensive changes to roads in the middle of Swansea. Can anybody who has got the new maps please check to see if Kingsway, Swansea allows traffic in one or both directions? Please say whether you have the GB and I (TeleAtlas) or Western Europe (NavTeq) version of the new maps
Many thanks
Robin

On my TeleAtlas Western & Central Europe map - v6.75, downloaded a couple of days ago, "The Kingsway" is shown as a two-way road, running roughly east-west with a roundabout at each end.

Thanks for that - it was 2 way until last autumn, but it, and a lot of the surrounding roads, have been turned into one way streets in a new traffic system designed to accommodate bendy buses. Routes going anywhere near the centre are useless as a result. I'd be grateful if anybody with a 6.75 NavTeq map (ie Western Europe) could do the same check

I don't think such a thing exists.
Thee new (April '07) v6.75 maps are all from TeleAtlas. Only the ones supplied in the box with the Rider and the One NE Europe were by Navteq

Thanks Andy. The WE maps I have at present are NavTeq and I assumed their replacement would also be

Not answering your question directly but Garmin/NavTech maps just released in January do not have the 'new' layout! [CityNavigator Europe v9]

I know from a recent bad experience! Evil or Very Mad

Navteq maps are supplied with RIDER and TomTom ONE Europe. You can tell what you have by selecting the satellite signal strength icon on the home screen then selecting the version number. This brings you to an 'about' page.

Thanks for your reply Darren. I know that the maps I have now (TomTom One v2 Europe) are by NavTeq. I was asking about the new replacement which has just been released - Andy thinks they are TeleAtlas

Yes the latest map release is indeed TeleAtlas. However those devices that came with Navteq data can also use TeleAtlas map data. The reverse is not true.
