Try changing the name of the file, shorten it to something simple like mypoi.zip and then try opening it.
If it still wont open then its probably corrupted during initial download, delete it and download it again. |

Ok a little more info will be required by the folks on the forum.
1 What OS are you using i.e. XP, Vista 32 / 64 bit
2 What browser are you using to download the file with i.e. IE6 / 7, Firefox, etc.
3 What are you using to open the archive (zip) file with, are you using the in built support in XP for example or are you using WinZIP, or maybe WinRar.
Cant guarentee i can help you but people will probably ask for this info anyway. |

Have you tried ticking the "show link" box next to the download button when you are ready to download the poi's. Try downloading the zip that way and see if it makes any difference. |

Have you tried selecting the check box entitled "Show Link" adjacent to the download button? I find this works with most of the POI download files, although if you use the combine sub-category option there are a few that fail to work correctly (too many sub-cats) these can be downloaded in parts then combined on your PC to produce the single file, food & drink is one of these categories I have experianced problems with, I can e-mail you the files later if you want, as I have the files on the PC @ home (mobile at the moment)
Try downloading with the show link ticked and let us know if that improves matters - Mike |
