It would have been more helpful if I had added, please download and read the small (65kb) 'Read Me.doc - one of the three files in the download, before deciding to upgrade from a previous version. _________________ Gee-Pee

4. KNOWN ISSUES
ActiveSync 4.5 does not support Microsoft Outlook 2000. It is highly recommended that you upgrade to Microsoft Outlook 2003 messaging and collaboration client.
and
• If the desktop PC operating system is upgraded, or if a Service Pack is installed, you must perform a repair installation of ActiveSync in order to enable the expected ActiveSync functionality.
• If you upgrade to Windows Media Player 10 after you have installed ActiveSync on your desktop PC, you must perform a repair installation of ActiveSync. This enables successful Media Synchronization to a Windows Mobile-based device.

Im glad I dont have outlook 2003 now so that i cant update .[/code] |

When I read that, I read it to mean that you need Outlook 2003 if you use that for synchronising purposes - I don't think that is a requirement for using it for synching with your GPS device.
As to Sygate, is there no means to add AS to allowed programs, rather than turning it off _________________ Gee-Pee

The big plus point for AS4.5 is the ability to connect and sync to a device running WM6 Crossbow - the next mobile software version due out soon for some devices, without 4,5 you cannot do a great deal with WM6 loaded to a device - Mike |
