I have just installed Destinator 3 with Globalsat Bluetooth GPS , from BUYGPSNOW to Loox, everything seems fine, installed bl;uetoothn seems present, but get acquiring stas then it seems to get 2 or up to 6 sats but only for a fraction of a sec then back to zero no lock up. Could the GPS be faulty ? or is there something simple that I have missed ? Any advice gratefully received

Two things

- Destinator versions prior to 3.0.25 had a UI "issue" that the Sats display kept blinking every other second. This should normally not affect the reception though, it's just annoying. Upgrade to 3.0.25 to resolve this

- Some GPS applications are reprogramming the datastream that comes from your receiver. Sometimes that's what you want, but sometimes they do it without asking you. Can you please use your configurator fr your receiver and make sure it is on NMEA 38400, and sending RMC, GSA, GLL and GSV signals back every second . (Once you have everything working you can switch GSA and GSV to 5 seconds)

Thanks tip re flashing sats was good, although I have v 25, no matter it works. Experimenting with GPS position, seem to have a windscreen problem, at back better, but have ordered external antenna.

Bluetooth tooth keeps disappearing when PDA goes to sleep, but reset and re find generally works.

All in all, OK, but PDA systems need more care and attention that in built car ones, but what can you expect they are much cheaper. Rolling Eyes
