Hi
My first posting so forgive me if I'm in the wrong place. Just bought a second hand HP RX3715, to go with my TomTom 5 and bluetooth GPS receiver. TT5 worked fine on my old Acer n30, but now I cant get it to work on my new 3700. There is a bluetooth connection between the two hardware devices, and TT5 loads fine on the PDA, but I can not get a valid gps signal, even after trying every combination of serial ports, or connections. Help please! |

Why not get the update to TomTom version 5,21 which is free install that and select other Bluetooth GPS from the presented list of ports you need to select the Outgoing com port (check the manual to find the number IIRC it is either 5 or 8) - Mike |

Out of curiosity which COM port does your GPS use and what is the 'Outbound COM Port' for the 'Bluetooth Serial' profile set as on your device...? |

Folks, very happy man. After a visit to the TomTom website, i followed one of their suggestions, and low and behold I have connection, and with far more satellites than I had before. It would appear that I was connected correctly, Bluetooth port 6, but I "jiggled" the baud rate about on the Other cable NMEA GPS, then put it back onto 4800, and hey presto. Good old fashioned bang the telly method! |

Hi All,
I am new to this excellent website..
I need some help please..
My rx 3715 is running tomtom 5 and it ran out of battery power also internal battery went dead and since that I can't get my tom tom navigator to load up or work..
It asks for preferences of Right hand or left,Km or Miles,Voice then Gb map or Gp+ but never goes past that to tom tom screen.
I have paired my gps and it sees that via bluetooth.
I think I have lost files on pda? Any pointers of what should be in tom tom & Navigator folders in program files?
Thanks for any Help.
