hi , i have got tt navigator 6 for windows mobile pocket pc bu ti have just bought myself wm smartphone. is the tt6 compatible with wm smartphone ? or there are two different version one for pocket pc and the other for smartphones ? i would just try installing the software but my new toy is on its way Laughing ?

please advice !

TT6 should run on WM5 smart phones.

However the EULA for TomTom navigator clearly states that you can only run this on one machine..

This EULA grants a license (“License”) that permits you to use the Software, provided that Software that is combined with a hardware device is only combined with one hardware device at any time. This License is non-exclusive and non-transferable.


You may be able to install it on one system (PDA) and a week later install it on the second system (phone) as TT allow you to upgrade your h/w (usually after one week then again after 6 months...) but doing the upgrade will disassociate the licence from the first device. This may cause problems later on - re upgrades etc. Also you can't then sell one of the items on with TT installed.
