The limit for Custom POI categories using TomTom version 6 is 100 irrespective of the device type, that said check your map folder for the number of files ending with the file extension .ov2 (assuming version 6 software is in use, if you have the version 5 software don't go over 39 custom categories) - if you are over the limit try removing some, if you are under the limit simply enable the POI in Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Enable \ Disable POI - Mike |

Right idea, wrong numbers, Tony 8)
It is the software version that determins the number of user-added POI categories.
v6 software allows 100
v5 and earlier allows 39 (except for one version (v5.2?) where it dropped to 27!)
Number of actual entries in any POI category is virtually unlimited. |

Beaten to it yet again!
This board is weird... I always 'preview' my posts and check below it to see if anyone else has replied while I was writing my reply.
There certainly wasn't this time, but when I press 'Submit' I find someone else's IS there! |

Sorry Andy, No explaination for that one, I actually checked with Preview prior to posting (although with a 5min difference I would have expected your preview to include my response) - at least the answers were the same - Mike |

Had same problem here, select reset factory settings in the menus then suddenly enable POIs you enable display on the screen again. |

I'd even said to MrZipy that it was worth remembering that trick! |
