What when it is at home is 7 digit postcode lookup???

I know full post code lookup is usually shown as being either full or 8 digit but 7 digit has me puzzled... I'm guessing it is centre point of the postcode rather than down to house number?

Anyway that aside, what do people think of the C510? I'm going to go for a new gps device as my trusty mobile + tomtom + holux 236 are getting on a bit and I've got a trip from Wales to Switzerland soon to complete.

My current price range is about £200 and I would like bluetooth so only the C510e seems to meet my needs (european maps and bluetooth handsfree).

why not have a look at t-mobile if you contract is nearly up and go forsomthing like a compact 3 the gps is built in to the pda and with copoilot 6. it comes with uk acctivatied but with euro cds you could then acctivate the euro for 100 quid

i got the mda compact 3 and cp6 for free with a flext contract though i did have to take insurance out at 799 pm and i also took web and walk unlimited for around 8 punds permonth. this just another option you may not have thought of

the c510 runs a version of iGO. i have the pocketpc version and its my favorite navigation app at the moment. have a look at the reveiw lutz did i helped a little with it Wink

My T-Mobile contract is up in July and as I use my mobile as a mobile as well as a GPS a PDA style phone doesn't appeal at the moment (I may change my mind but doubt it at the moment - the alternative would be to get a cheep PAYG T-Mobile and switch sims around so the PDA is used purely as GPS).

Thanks, I will do - but as I'm u-fix rather than the 'normal' style contract phones I suspect the price will be in the region of £100... which makes the upgrade+new map data set the same as a dedicated GPS PND...

An edit button would be handy right now...

Just realised most postcodes are only 7 digits - two letter, two number, single number, two letter = 7 digits + 1 space Smile

So if I'm right then 7 digit, 8 digit and full are one and the same...
