|

Hi there! (and please excuse my ignorance about Sat Nav systems: I'm new to using these gadgets!)
Can anyone tell me if SD cards / Maps for different systems are interchangeable? I have an N20, and, in preperation for a couple of weeks in the USA later this year, want to get USA maps (but have no overwhelming desire to pay £99 for them from the Navman site! 8O )
I've seen SD cards for both the iCN510 (SmartST USA maps, 2Gb card) and for an iCN320 (USA maps, card bought Decmber 2006) for sale, and wonder if either of them would work in my N20?
I know it says on the Navman website that maps aren't interchangeable owing to software differences, but just wondered if this was just Navman trying to dupe people into buying more products off them?
Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi
I have a Navman 4410 Bluetooth & PDA, I also have a 510. The maps are not interchangeable.
Regards

Thanks MaFt & DRP,
I guess Navman really know how to treat their faithful customers to ensure they are kept happy!
They've knocked 4% of the US map price on t'interweb, but I reckon I can buy a sat nav system in the States for the same price, and give it to my brother as a present, and I'd feel less ripped off!
Cheers,
