I am using my Rikaline X6 on my laptop and having problems.
this is the second unit I have tried and both supply NMEA sentances/data when viewed on the Sirf demo (in realtime mode) but there is no signal strength so no fix.

How can I be sure that the unit is functioning and the problem is in the interface?
All the polling funtions work, the messages are written, but the sources are all cold, i.e. no signal from the SV's.

Does the thing need initialising with present position?

This is the result of the software poll

SW version 2.4.1101XleadtekC2

I bought this from a supplier on Ebay and of course, the real problem here is the lack of back-up and support. But in fairness this may be a problem my end...HELP

PS I know this is a pocket GPS forum and my plan was to get to know the unit on my laptop first and then buy a 2210. Hasn't quite worked out as planned!
