N60i and Navman Subsription Safety Cams

Can anyone using the Navman Subscription POIs say if there is any problem with them working
I have a correspondent who has an N60i recently purchased. The first download of cams did not work - did not show up in the POIs on the device and was instructed by Navman to delete the Subscription folder using Active Synch., and then reload them through SmartST. He did that and the POIs then appeared in the list of installed POIs and in the Active POIs and were all activated. When his GPS has a fix, he cannot see any of the cams in the "Search Nearby" folder on his device
Nor do they do not appear in the mapping and fail to alert when passing known camera sites. another
Apart from suggesting another uninstall/reinstall, Navman have been unable to offer help.
I have suggested that Navman take it back and check it out and get them to try and activate the Safety Cams, but they have declined this at the moment.
