|
Have tried the search button for this info to no avail so ...
Can anyone tell me if I should have got a hard copy of the 144 page user manual in the box with my N40 please. As you can guess I didn't... so I have emailed Navman with the same question but no answer after 4 days (funny old thing)

Hi Steve,
No hardcopy of the manual is supplied with the N40i, (unless things are different in the UK than in my country (NL)).
You'll find an Acrobe PDF version of the full manual on one of the CD's that came with your N40i.
Hope this helps,
Ron |

That should of course be "Adobe" (or "Acrobat")
(I couldn't edit my own post).

Gee-Pee... was half expecting an answer for your good self, thanks I was aware of the availability of the download pdf - is that then CONFIRMATION that in the UK we don't get a hard copy?
Seems a very strange setup to me I must say - also I have been searching the house all last weekend thinking I put it down somewhere in all the excitement of the unit arriving - you know us men never read instructions (grin!)
Cheers

Well, Steve, to be fair to Navman, you DO get a Manual but it is only a 31 page affair call a "Quick Reference Manual" which is Ok to get you started but that is all. The full version is 144 pages long You have the choice to download it and refer to it electronically or you can print it off - if you do that, I suggest you set the printer to print it in A5 and the Adobe Reader to scale the pages to the paper size.
