hi
tomtom ONE v2 europe.
have downloaded pgpsw camera database. all fine. except on certain cameras, notably red light ones i get the verbal warnings and certain boings as well, a couple of seconds later. this has also occured on a 40mph gatso.
reading thru the forums i suspect i must have the tomtom cameras also installed (by factory default??). i cannot see any on the sd card's map folder or listed on the units poi listing, so where are they? and how do i safely remove them so i only get your camera locations and warning voices.
many thanks.

Is another possibility that you may have accidentally installed two different versions of the PGPSW ones?

Either something like the single file version AND the speed-zoned set, or maybe you re-named them and then loaded a more recent set so it didn't automatically overwrite the old ones?

Quite a few people deliberately install them twice, with different warning distances and sounds, so for example you can have a generic sound a long way back, followed by a voice giving the speed as you get closer.

Check how many PGSW .ov2's you have. Assuming you use the full speed-zoned set, if you are up to date, there should be 24 categories, or 25 if you include the "empty" mobile_var file.

If you HAVE got the TomTom cameras, they should show up in the "Plus" menu. I don't have them so cannot say for definite, but I think they should still be fairly obvious if you browse inside the map folder.

On my Tom Tom GO710 I was able to delete them whilst in Tom Tom HOME - it was the only way I could get rid of the wretched things!! If the ONE uses HOME, that seems to be the answer. By the way "25 files" - you don't do anything with the Mobile.var one, it's a dummy file, not a real camera POI.

Not a Plus folder, the Plus Menu on screen, which is where TT's own cameras are set up now (if you've got them).

Tony, did you ever get this issue resolved? - if not please take a look at THIS Page, it should get rid of the annoying bongs/ beeps when approaching certain cameras - Mike

I have the same "feature" on my 910.

I've turned off the TomTom alerts, removed them all in Home, checked that I only have one installation of the Pocket GPS files and it still give me double warning on some of them. Confused

What happens if you remove the PGPSW ones. Do you get ANY alerts then?
