hi, i do not seen to be able to put in a full postcode.
i can only for example put in LE67 and need to select a location and then a street.
i had a job on today but only had a postcode and could not get my unit to take me there as i needed a street.
so can this unit do 7 or 8 digit postcode navigation without putting in a street just a full postcode?
cheers, am i missing something. |

If you have a ONE v2 you should already have the correct file in the zip folder.
Could you have deleted it somehow by accident? Did you do a backup as soon as you got the machine, where you could retrieve it from?
I only say this because I think the file linked to in the thread you mention is out of date now (also it was really only intended for people who had bought a new map but TT had forgotten to include the postcode file with it).
Maybe try a call to TomTom explaining your problem and they will send the latest version to you. (we are not supposed to share it as it is copyright like the maps themselves). |

i must have deleted it?
i did a back up when i brought it and can not see how it has gone.
someone came round with their tomtom (brought same time as me) and the postal file i downloaded was larger than the file he had.
so it must have been more up to date? i guess. |

Not neccessarily... The UK postal file that came with my v660 'UK, IE and major roads of WE' bought a week ago, is smaller than the one that came with my original v5 maps |
