I started off with an IPAQ 2210 + TT3 nearly 3 years ago, and I am currently running v5.2. Over the past few months to a year I have noticed that getting a lock is taking longer and, more importantly perhaps, the screen greys out more and more, even though I'm still in the same car and travelling (at least near home) the old familiar routes. I'm thinking that my TT wired GPS receiver (the square silver type) is less sensitive than it was, and perhaps is going downhill? If so are these receivers still available? If so can anyone suggest where from (nothing on ebay as far as I can see today) or is there a viable alternative that will plug in to the TT cradle?

I have done a search for this topic but could not find anything relevant (if I did it properly of course).

All advice greatly received.

Many thanks.

Funny I am having exactly the same problem - and with exactly the same combination. I already had a Rikaline GPS mouse receiver die on me a couple of years ago.

I cannot understand how these things, which have no moving parts and presumably no consumables inside, can possibly give the appearance of 'wearing out'. Does anyone on the forum know what might be going on here?

Did you ever find a solution of any kind?

Yes, in the end I bought another GPS receiver - and then realised how slow the original one had become. All working find now.
