I've never heard of an N70i; do you mean the N60i? If so, we haven't had one to try (yet) but if it follows the format of the earlier capable Navmans then the answer is 'Yes' and you should be able to succeed by following the instructions on the Navman Help page. You might have to put *.* in the File Name window, though, as the POIEditor might default to only look for .csv files, as the one with the iCN7xx range does. _________________ Tim |

I've just recently got the Navman N60i and love it. My only problem is that I have no idea whether or not I can install the camera database onto it and if so - how do I do it. Any help much appreciated.

Yes you can. Use the information for all the other Navmans (Help file on the left somewhere) and couple this with the information I gave above. _________________ Tim |

I've happily installed the speed cameras from the database and yes the POI Editor does default to search for .csv files.
Anyway have installed them and using them happily once I turned off the pre installed ones. |

Strange, I had no problems using XP and an N40i. You are trying to put the *.* in the File name box, not the File type one, aren't you? _________________ Tim |

Why do you want to rename anything? My instructions are for accessing different file types from within the Navman POIEditor. _________________ Tim |

1. There are lots of characters that cannot be used in Windows (or DOS) filenames:
Illegal filename characters: (backslash), (forward slash), (colon), (asterisk), (question mark), (double quotes), (left angle bracket), (right angle bracket), (pipe).
2. You definitely seem to have mis-read the instructions somewhere. You don't need to re-name the PGPSW camera files names (and probably shouldn't!) |
