Hi
I've read a few posts where folks have said they've attempted to load Pocketgpsworld camera database onto the navman f20, but nobody has yet to confirm that it can be done.
Wondered if it was possible. |

I have been searching the forums for an answer to this question, but cannot seem to find a definitive answer. I spoke to Navman yesterday and they tell me the conectivity cable & software will be available mid Jan, cost £10. So the question still is, will I be able to update my F20 using the Pocket GPS database? |

I hope to god that they don't follow the USA and do not release the connectivity software, otherwise we'll be left with a useless database of Gatso only speed cameras, only updatable by paying extortionate Navman prices.Seems a bit suss when they release a sat nav but don't have the necessary software available at the same time ????.
Heres hoping otherwise...... :D |

The man at Navman assured me that both the cable and software will be available mid Jan 2007. What I would still like to know is, will I be able to update the Safety Camera database using this cable? Looking at the user instructions for the software, it looks like this may not be possible. But it may work to add the PocketGPS database as a seperate POI category.
The manual for the desktop software is at -

I set up my PGPSW speed camera database on my mates Navman ICN530. Setting custom POI's looks similar, so I'm confident that it'll work. The software doesn't seem to do much else though, I would have liked to have voice speed zoned warnings like I have set up on my tomtom navigator phone. |
