I have dowloaded and installed using TT home the new Western Europe Map ver.V 666.0.
When i check the map version on the TT it shows V 568.0.
There are two map folders -
Western Europe Map - 1.32GB
Western Europe - 903 MB
Is this correct ?

Yes. You now need to :-
1. Copy MapSettings.cfg from "Western Europe Map" to "Western Europe", together with any of your own POIs.
2. Copy the Pocketgps Camera files (all - bmp, OV2 and OGG if you use the OGGs).
3. Change Settings/Manage Maps/Switch Map to the new map.
And Robert est ton oncle! 
You won't harm by keeping the old map unless you start to run out of space. I'm certainly keeping mine for the foreseeable future.

You will need to go to Manage Map | Switch Map to get the new Map, which is 903MB.

I've kept my old maps on my 700, aren't there less countries on the newer maps than the old one (hence the file size is smaller), aren't some of the countries from Eastern Europe missing?
If so, maybe worth keeping if you ever have to venture out that way. |
