after just 2 bloody weeks of using it,the suction mount of garmin nuvi 300 stopped working!it holds for 10 mins or so and just falls off!very annoying.especially in the car while driving!anyone else have this problem?
Look, this is what needs to happen.
A total vacuum must exist between the glass and the base of the sucker, simple but in practice, as you have found out, air gets in, no vacuum - no stick.
What do we do then?
Clean and dry the glass and clean the base.
You see, these collect dust and dirt and grease, sometimes to small to see, these particles of dust or fluff cause the vacuum to leak away and the base to fall away.
Also "push" the base to the screen to squish out the air then set the lever. This gives more vacuum and no air.
Note: Air will heat up on a sunny day and expand, pushing off the sucker as well.

Hope that helps to cure your problem.
