Do you think brodit mounts are good idea for security?

Considering getting a brodit mount as it is quite a pain sticking and unsticking the sucker to the window every time I get in/get out of the car.

The only thing I was wondering is it going to stop scallies smashing my windows if there is still a pro clip and mount fastened to my dash? What does anyone else think?

I've seen the mini move clip but this would still leave the pro clip and would also send me through £50 barrier which would be almost another 33% on top of my purchase price. Plus my wife would go nuts!

I'm interested in anyone's opinion on this.

I use Brodit clips. They are much less obtrusive than windscreen mounts so less likely to attract attention.

I also use the 'MOVE' clips but more to allow me to swap cradles when reviewing different Brodit mounts or devices but the Move clip makes the mount even less obtrusive as to most people it no longer looks like a mount for an expensive PDA or SatNav.

Conclusion? Get the mounts!
