Hey all,
I just downloaded a new map to update my original map I bought well over a year ago but since looking on the TomTom website I find the 'Map Checker' and within a month of buying my 'new' map its out of date?
I thought Maps were only updated once a year, so now I'm expected to part with another €48 to update it.
Details of my Map are:-
Map:- Great Britain Plus
Productcode: ***** ***** *****, version: v632
filesize on device: 200.8 MB
You can download this file until: 15-11-2007
New Map
Map of Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland Nav5 v6.6
So its less than a month old and already out of date!
How unfair is that! |

A map is out of date the minute it's released so I wouldn't get to hung up on versions. TomTom state on their website that those with the previous version need not update.
If you buy a paper map and they release a new one a week later you wouldn't expect a free update, this is really no different. The new version may have a few more roads when compared to yours but it doesn't stop yours from working or being a useful aid does it? _________________ Darren Griffin

Yes I can understand this, but the number of times I've asked the question to TomTom regarding my version and the ones on their website to buy and they cannot give me a straight plain answer.
All I asked is, if they could tell me what the latest map version was...and could they.......NO!
Now they finally got their act together....a bit with the map checker it's just bloody annoying. |
