I am using a TTGO 700 with v6.520.

I have created 24 speed warning ogg files and named them exactly as required, and uploaded them to the map folder alongside the ov2 and bmp files.

I have turned off the GO a few times and reset it a couple of times, but the sound files are still not working properly.

I have done some demo runs past some gatso 30s and gatso 60s and mobile 70s - that is all I have around here.

The gatso 30s work perfectly with my voice file, but the gatso 60s and mobile 70s just give me the old polite 2 bongs. When I go to Manage POIs, I just get asked about distance and route, not which warning I want. This must mean that the GO is recognising my ogg files - just not using them.

I have checked several times that they are named correctly, so I am at a loss as to what is going on.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

I would sugest you try playing each of the ogg files via your PC to make sure that the audio file is correct, it would appear your unit is picking up the file presence but not playing anything - Mike

As a test, you could make a copy of one of the ones that DO work, and temporarily rename the copy to match one of the camera types that don't.

Re-assign the warnings (ie go through the set up pages again) and it will prove:
1. if it works, then the original sound file is at fault, or was wrongly named somehow)
2. if it doesn't, then the set-up is at fault.

Actually, it seems to be variable - different sound files seem to work or not work with each trip.

I wonder if my sound files are too big, and only the first part is being played and not the rest. That would explain the bongs being played without the voice part.

They are 22050Hz and the largest is 63.8KB. Mobile 40 wasn't working last time I tried, and that is 54.2KB.

I have a few installed that are around 60KB with no problems, how many POI have you loaded to the device (files named ov2 in the map folder) also how much spare space is there on the memory card? - Mike
