|
|
I am running TT5 on my Nokia N70. I have noticed that my GB map needs updating. I am currently running GREAT BR v562.
Where can I get an updated GB map from?
Cheers
Steve. |

But the word "soon" has no meaning or relevance in the strange language of Tomtom. This message has been displayed for months, and other promises of map updates have been made with nothing happening at all. I've given up on any prospect of a decent update programme. No wonder people turn to eBay. |

almost immediately, quickly, rapidly, shortly, presently, before long, in a little while, in next to no time.
TT description of soon - we haven't a clue.

Touche... I have the double whammy of using a Palm PDA. Nothing other than official, out of the box TT ever works!
To be honest, the map update would suit me best, as the added features on TT6 mean nothing to me. TT5 works a treat, it's just missing some key roads now. |

AFAIK you can't 'upgrade' as such....unless you call purchasing TT6 which I did at £80 odd. In my book, money well spent, although I will probably be outnumbered by those crying 'rubbish!' |

I understood from the TT site that there would be an upgrade for Mobiles and PDA's 'soon', software and maps. It would be good for those with devices which can't handle TT6.
Time will tell. 'S-o-o-n'.

Hi weelogic
I agree with you entirely. TT6 is rather like TT5 but has a few new gimmicks none of witch interest me at all. The main object of a navigation programme is to get you to your destination. TT5 does just that. However, to run to the best of its ability it needs up-to-date maps. TT5 will get updated maps soon. Er! I have just looked in my Dictionary and soon means eventually. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.
