BT308 backup battery

My BT308 developed a bit of a rattle so I took it apart and found a small silver disc - about 5mm diameter - which I think is a backup battery
Cannot see anywhere obvious it needs to go back in. Looks like it was soldered in

Presumbly if the main battery dies it will take a while to get satellite data - any other problems if I don't fix it?

Any ideas gratefully accepted.
