You mean a camera removal notification? Without knowing which camera this is I can't comment but it is likely that you were not the first to submit the removal notification. If you can reply with the GATSO ID of the camera in question I can clarify this for you. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi, You do not gain free membership for removal of camera's; Just for being the first to notify us of a new static camera.
Thanks

Surely that is not what the editor is implying, the Gatso removed is ID 2496 or it could be 2498 its tricky to read, removed this time round on the update. 60 mph camera on the A605.
Can you please clarify, isn't it as helpful to be notified about the ones that have been removed, as well as the new ones? Free membership?

oo03sjw - i think you need to clarify exactly what has happened, when and to which camera..... I can't understand if you are talking about the cameras or the entry in the database when you say things like "this month it's still there, this month it's gone".
Also free membership only applies as stated by MaFt - for new static cameras and not removals, and ONLY then if your are the FIRST to do so... |

MaFt and PaulB2005 You're WRONG!
From the

Come on guys, certainly the moderators should have their facts right! |

True...
Sorry, that came over far too strong on re-reading it. Can you put an ironic wink on the end for me? |

I submitted some camera removals recently. I hope the person that dealt with those submissions knew the rules... |

it depends if you were the first. plus, can i point out that the 'lifetime subs' is an automated process and i do not manually select people for free membership - so, whether i know the rules or not is beside the point.

I realise that it depends on whether I was first. Interesting to know that it's an automated process. Did the person that programmed that know the rules?
The fact that the announcement of a new release contains something of the form "We have had a total of 43 verified static cameras added this release submitted by 32 members. All members submitting the first report of these static cameras will be credited with lifetime memberships by 17:00 09 Nov 06." isn't very reassuring.
I've just gone back and checked the announcement thread, and only the first posting mentioned deletions. "This month sees 473 additions, 342 changes and 79 deletions." But then goes on to say that lifetime memberships have been credited for the additions, but nothing about the deletions or changes, which according to the rules, also qualify for lifetime memberships. |
