|
Hi,
ok so i thought i was up to date on my tomtom one, turns out i'm not, i havent got the new firmware 6.0 something.
So i've downloaded tomtom home, but i can't login, i have a tomtom account but it just doesn't login.
The software looks pretty micky mouse anyway. Does anyone know where i can just get the firmware upgrade?
Or if it's not availible, then can anyone offer me any support with the tomtom home software? I can see that there is anywhere to enter my tomtom login details.
all help appreciated.
thanks |

You don't need to log in or be registered to download firmware updates. |

Try switching on the unit after you've connected. _________________ Regards

You need to Login to be able to download an upgrade. It can be as an 'anonymous Guest' if you want, to get to the Upgrade Server.
Have a look at This Topic. It might be that you have a connection problem. _________________ Richard

hi richard,
thanks, can you give me a hint as to how i can sign on anonymously? It's really starting to annoy me now!
sometimes the tomtom website is quite possibly THE MOST useless website i have ever seen. What makes it worse is that i've been using tomtom for over 4 1/2 years now!
thanks |

one thing i forgot to mention was the error message that appears it says
"no tomtom content found on your computer. (Note: if you did not use tomtom home when you downloaded content, it might not be found."?
is this any help? |

Have you got the latest Version of HOME? It's 1.3 at the moment.
Can you use the TT as a virtual TT on the PC Screen?
If you're really stuck you can download a Zipped Version from my TomTom Upgrades Web Page. Read the Text File.;) _________________ Richard

I had a problem before when I was updating the unit. I said logging in but never did.
What I did, even though I thought it wouldn't make any difference, was to plug in the desk mount to the mains, so that it was charging too. That seemed to do the trick, and it seemed to log in instantly and after a few tries, I managed to update the unit. |
