Hi I have just bought a new GO 710 and had an issue last night where the unit locked up and the screen was illuminated light blue when i tried to reset the unit on the reset button it wouldnt reset and seemed to be that the reset button wasnt doing anything what so ever, what I had to do to resolve was leave the unit to drain all power overnight and then this morning plugged in the charger turned on and all was fine. Now obviously the reset button is needed for future use should I cntact TomTom for a repair??

You could try doing a Reset by taking the SD Card out. It might have the same effect, because the Device has to re-read the Card.
Did you hold the Reset in for about 10secs? Have you tried it with the Unit On and Off?
Can't think of anything else.![Sad](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_sad.gif) _________________ Richard

There have been a couple of reported fails of the reset button on the 910 units, but first off lets establish the size of your reset "device" some paper clips are too big to fit in the hole - try using a pin or needle.
Prior to this you are using the reset switch? (I know it sounds a stupid question) but the reset switch is under the device near the power connection - It is NOT the small hole on the front of the device, this is the inbuilt microphone - Mike |
