I've plugged in HOME and it's downloaded and installed the new version then flashed the BIOS . . . . . so now I'm back to the stupid cow and whistle sounds instead of "Gatso 30".
Will there be an update to the data.chk file list soon or shall I restore and wait more patiently?

Why not try the new way of Voice Warnings as described HERE. _________________ Richard

STRUTH Richard.
Thanks for the link, I was lookin at this earlier on this evening. It all looks very complicated.
I tried the demo links to the three voices but they sounded very wordy . . . I was just hoping for the original "Gatso 30" instead of "There's a Gatso ahead so slow down now" type of thing.
If I restore to the previous version would it reflash the bios? |

if you restore to 6.11 ? it will reflash and revert back to the old but you might have to set up the voices agin hope this helps |

If the Editor doesn't handle ogg Files you can convert them, using a program like MP3 to Wav Converter. _________________ Richard

Thanks Richard - I do have a wave editor and will certainly look into it. Thanks for the tip. |

Hi , I did the same thing got TT1new edition europe and have lost my voices think ill just wait for new one to be developed for now ant warning is better than none I guess, sort f got used to them.
Anybody had any luck with the suntime program that converts the screen colours to nite automatically, I ve tried it cant seem to get it to work, though why tomtom never incorporated this in I'll never know as it means you can just carry on driving.
Also a selection of options for people with caravans and lorries would be good to, also a driving timer so you get reminded to stop a take a rest would be good specialy on long journeys. |
