Updating TT300

Hi. I am trying to update my firends TT300 which is currently on V5.420.

I have got home on my pc (as I own a TT910) and the software see's the 300 ok. I have created a 'login account' for the TT300 and all seems to be well.........until you come to update it, it simply says no updates found?

I have finally got it to update, a 7.5mb file. When I install it, the TT freezes?? Evil or Very Mad

Do I need to remove any files before updating?

Thanks for the reply. I have a 512 card so space is not a problem. As soon as I update it with this 'tomtom go application file' which is the only file 'home' finds, it freezes!!!!

Just a shot in the dark - is it possible that you are trying to update him to v6.51, which is the GO x10 version, as opposed to v6.15 which is the latest for TT300/500/700? I note you have a TT910, which might influence your Home towards x10.

Thanks for the reply. I thought the same so I installed home on my laptop (just for the TT300) and still the same.
I have even tried downloading 5.44 and it goes through the process of updating and switches on afterwards but the V is still 5.420??

Even worse, I have just got the original memory card from my mate and it is not recognised by my pc?? I give up!!

I thought if I get it back to original state (no camera voices etc) it may work.

Back to the drawing board.
