ey up! i'm more of a garmin man myself but have recently acquired a tomtom go 300.
however, i have a few problems with it as follows:
i can't seem to connect it to a pc - i'm using a normal usb lead but does it need to be a special 'tomtom' one or something?
because of this i can't use tomtom home to be able to check latest firmware versions etc so can anyone tell me what the latest version is?
i can't seem to pull up full uk postcodes, it only allows for example bd15 as opposed ot bd15 9ax... any ideas?
and, finally, as i don't have a manual for it can anyone le me know the default pass key for connecting via bluetooth?!
cheers in advance

Try putting an empty folder on your card and name it tomtom
It works on PDA's so with a bit of luck it may work on your 300. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Are you looking in the right place to put the postcode?
After "Navigate to..." there's a postcode button on the 2nd page. If you put the code into the address it will only accept the first five digits. And don't use a space in the middle.
If still no postcode, check you have a folder called "zip". The postcode file "great_britain_postal" (or something like that) should be in it. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

cheers for the info.
there's an empty folder called TomTom already.
there's no 'zip' though - i presume that it is 'zip' as in zip code rather than a zip file? where would i get one from?

My TT GO will not work with full post codes even though I have the 6.15, I understand I need the 2006 map upgrade for which I've waited 10 months. _________________ Regards
