If you mean the map on this page, I think if you hover over the icon, I think there is a description shown in the status line. If you give a location, one of will have a look.

Following on from this...(only just had a chance to play with the map using Internet Explorer - none of these icons show up at all in a proper browser Wink )

Could someone 'in the know' explain a bit more, please?

What I'm seeing is:
1 ) there are coloured icons on the map for positions that are in the database;
2 ) there are red squares with crosshairs which are for entries that are...what? Already removed? About to be removed in the next version?
3) there are camera icons in monochrome. What do they signify?
I'm especially interested in these last ones, because one of the cameras that I successfully got moved, but which then went back to the original position in a later database version, is actually still shown in the correct position too, but "greyed out".

Anyone know?

mobile
remove

That's all the ones I can guess at!

Thanks mate, I'd actually worked out those, because the type comes up at the bottom of the map when you click on them.
It's what "remove" actually means, and what the greyed out icons are for that I'm really after.

Yeah, it's the icon that indicates what is/has to be done to that camera.

This information would help us enormously to see what was going on with cameras that we've submitted, and whether further clarification is required, so maybe someone in the know will come along and give us the info!

The greyed out icon is where a camera used to be and has been or will be deleted from the next database release.

The orange circles probably shouldnt be displayed, but are also deleted cameras that have the wrong flag set in the database. I am currently working my way through these in an attempt to clear them up.

Hi Mike,

Any chance of getting a key added to the map (or the area just above or below) to explain ALL the valid symbols clearly?

Cheers Steve.
