|
|
I have an Ipaq 2790 running TTN5.21.
I plan to go to the US next year in April and at some stage I will want to download maps of the various states I wish to visit.
My question is this.
If, for whatever reason I dont want to buy TT6 and I wish to download US maps at some stage and I havent upgraded how do I get TT5 US maps ?
This presupposes a certain fact (which may or may not be true) but for the purpose of the question and knowing TomTom history I will assume it to be accurate.
I won't be able to use TT6 maps onTT5 software
I have never seen a download for maps for anything other than current software. Is there a map download site for other versions of TomTom?

Your assumption is not entirely correct. Stay tuned. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for your prompt reply Lutz. I'm guessing now then, that in the new incarnation of TT6 it will be possible to use TT6 maps on TT5 software.
:D

Maybe, but helpful none-the-less - which is what it's all about. _________________ iPhone 4/4S (iOS 5.1.1); TomTom Western Europe (1.10)/USA & Canada (1.10); CoPilot for iPhone (8), UK mapping, Mac OS 10.8/XP Pro/Win7; Tongue firmly in cheek! |

Erm, how so? There are plenty of ads for the product now... it doesn't address the issue of V6 maps on Nav 5, which is the subject of this thread! _________________ iPhone 4/4S (iOS 5.1.1); TomTom Western Europe (1.10)/USA & Canada (1.10); CoPilot for iPhone (8), UK mapping, Mac OS 10.8/XP Pro/Win7; Tongue firmly in cheek! |
