My SPV E200 has just died, and I plan to replace it with a SPV c550. I presume that I can copy my TTM files from my backup CD onto the new mini-SD card. It should then work?
A non-tomtom question: if I plug my c550 into my same computer I used to synch my e200 with, will the phonebook automatically download into the telephone... or will the new telephone automatically erase the addressbook on thecomputer? Anybody know where the outlook address book will be stored to back it up? thanks. |

the address book is stored in outlook youll have to update activesync to the latest version and create a new partnership.
as long as youve only activatiated tomtom on one device then you should be able to activate it on the 550 _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

As has been said, you will need to re-activate but so long as you have only activated once then that shouldn't be an issue.
As for Outlook Contacts, when you connect the c550 (you will need to update ActiveSync to the latest version as supplied with the c550) it will prompt you to create a new Partnership, once done all your contacts etc will be synchronised with the c550. They're lovely handsets, great screen and a lot faster than the e200! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks, both.
I presume that as well as being faster, battery life should be a lot better. And with any luck, the BT will not disconnect itself automatically just when I need it most... |

Hi
I've just tried doing this with TTM on a c550. When I go through filemanager to tomtom.exe, then the screen comes up three quarter size and completely unreadable. Help, please, what do I need to do next? Many thanks |
