Hi all,
This is my first try at the forum. I have a tomtom 510, I have down loaded the camera database (24 file version) and installed that in the maps file. I also downloaded the Capture POI but I only have three pages in the main menu! Have I left something out? I have tried reinstalling the Tom Tom.mnu in the SDK directory but still only get 3 pages. Anyone any ideas please
Regards

Hi lupos0_1
I read that after installing the Capture POI, I quote:
"The Tom Tom.mnu is a custom menu for Tom Tom. The POI Capture Tom Tom.mnu is based closely on the standard menu. In the POI Capture Tom Tom.mnu, there is an extra (fourth) page in the main menu. The Tom Tom Traffic icon on page one has been replaced with the POI Capture icon. The fourth page has the Tom Tom Traffic icon and other useful icons."
I do not have the fourth page and the Capture icon does nothing when pressed! Do I need to remove an existing menu file as I cannot find another 'mnu' file!
Many thanks for the help. |

Can't help with the specific problem you have as I don't use Capture POI (prefer to just use the normal TomTom methods to store cameras), but I can put your mind at rest about this bit.
The "default" menu layout is held in the main program, so doesn't need an .mnu file.
It is only if you want to change it that you create one, and then the TT goes looking for it.
Incidentally, it is a fairly easy to understand text file, so you can open it up in Windows Notepad to check it, and (using the accumulated knowledge on this forum) even write your own. |
