Using a 1mb SD card

Hi

I am a newbie here. I have the new TT V2 with 256mb SD card in it. I want to get a 1Gb SD card to use in it's place. Can someone kindly tell me if transferring the files will work? I have copied the files from exisiting card (including hidden, system etc. files to my hard drive).

Can I just copy these files and directories to the new 1 gb card to make it to work please?

Yes that should work fine (and is exactly what many have done already).
The only issues are:
1 ) TomToms are particular about what flavour of card you use. They don't like slow ones, and there have been some reports of certain brands/types being problematic. Any high-speed card from a well-known brand should be OK though.
2 ) You MAY need to re-activate your map, so make sure you have your activation code ready. It's obtained by entering your Go's device code (tap the satellite bars to find it) and your map's product code (on the credit card that came in the box) into www.ttcode.com.
