Onto a SD Card

I have just tried again & got the message - unable to write .....map on the device, error code 2.

I also had an error message earlier which stated that I should "activate map software"

I would be grateful for any advice - I bought this unit for European maps & I am leaving for France on Friday!

So you've read and acted upon this?

What happens if you try to write a map to the internal memory?

When you put a map CD into your CD drive, do the maps show green on the Navman Desktop?

Yes I have searched the Navman technical support & followed relevant instructions.

I get the same error message when I try to add map to internal memory

Yes the maps show green in the desktop - I have tried selecting different areas with no luck. However there is a France Ferries download that I can add

In that case you'd better ring Navman Tech Support on 01293 780500 and explain your problem. Hopefully they'll get you sorted.

Given that wilfred can apparently transfer maps from the other CDs, just not the one containing the French maps, I think it unlikely.
