Hi,
I suspect I'm missing something simple. At the moment when planng a new or working on an existing itinary TomTom always reverets to current cursor location. Is it possible to plan and work on Itinaries but specifying a start point? In effect stopping the device working out the route from here?
Some of the europe itinaries i'm trying to work on are rather complicated with multiple Waypoints and travel Via's.
Cleary I can use the Advanced Planning option but once an itinary is created, it reverts to current curser location. This wastes time recalculating from the wrong start location.
Using TTG 910, latests App and Maps of Westrn and Cent Europe.
Thanks _________________ Fraserp

If you use HOME you can set your Current Location to anywhere within the Map you are using. Any Planning can be done from that as the Start Point.;) _________________ Richard

Richard,
Thanlks for the info. So TomTom Home has one usefull purpose then!
Is there any way to 'set current location' just on the 910? In effect so I dont have to connect via a PC? _________________ Fraserp

Not in the same way.
It requires that you don't have a Valid GPS Fix all the time.;)
If you use Advanced Planning A to B, and set a short route with your Departure Point as required. 200 Yards will do.
When 'Route' has been calculated, Tap Details and go into Demo Mode. Once Demo starts Tap the Screen and Exit Demo back to Map Screen.
The Device will then 'think' that it's location is at the set departure point.
It's a workaround, that works.8O
As soon as you have a Valid GPS Fix it will revert back to normal behavour. _________________ Richard
