Got an answer from touratech today and they do a cable to power the quest which has a socket for audio
they also do a headset
Hope this will help anybody else thinking of going down this route

I see your point but with 6 points on my licence and a few rally trips coming up a bit of nagging is better than not having a licence, job etc'
better of the 2 evils me thinks

Well i finally got my bracket in the middle of September only a six week wait.
Have used it a few times now and its very handy and having the speaker in the helmet helps you concentrate on the road. I can use it with custom ear plugs and still hear it at 100mph ( on a closed road with a professional rider) All in all a very good if expensive system it cost me £150 and i still don't have a socket to plug the power into, I had to remove the socket provided and wire it into the battery with an inline fuse from Maplin ( mainly because i had to rush the fitting as it arrived 2 days before i needed it for my trip to Scotland). The delivery problem should eventually solve itself as its a touratech expansion issue.
All in all if you want satnav for your bike you could do worse than the touratech kit but start adding that onto the price and i wish i held out for the new zumo had i known it was coming.(Garmin kept that one quiet)
