|

I have tired using the software for TomTom Go/ Rider/ One 5.440 and later POICapture Add on. This did not work on my TomTom One 5.450v. I used TomTom One 5.420 POICapture download and unzipped it. I got 2 folders (SdkRegistry and POICaptutre) and 2 files (PocketGPScameras.ov2 and TomTom.mnu). What I did was, I copied all the files that was inside the folders and placed them all in the ‘Great-Britian-map’ folder. So in my ‘G_B-map’ folder I do not have any other folders, only files. I turned my TT One on but there was no icon on the main menu. Under POI manage, I could select pocketgpscamera file to warn me when camera comes up. I did not get the chance to find out if this work but I would be glade if you could help. How do I get the icon on the main menu and do I need to copy the sdkRegistry and POICapture folders into my ‘G_B-map’ folder. If so where do I place the 2 files PocketGPScameras.ov2 and TomTom.mnu. Do I just copy them to SdkRegisty folder? |

The only File that goes in the Map Folder is the OV2 File.
The 2 Folders, SdkRegistry and POICapture go in the Root of the SD Card. The Files that they contain go with them.
If you want to use the Custom Menu, tomtom.mnu, it also goes into the SdkRegistry Folder.

Thanks for that advice, i will try it on. One more question, whats the root of the SD card, is it where all the files are displayed when i open the removalble drive (tomtom).
Thanks again |

Yes. It will be the highest level on the Card. Usually it's called TomTom (plus whichever Device you happen to be using). _________________ Richard

Thanks for that, it worked, only problem was that when I placed the tomtom.mnu file in the SdkRegistry folder it removed my traffic icon from the main menu so i delected tomtom.mnu file and i got traffic icon back and the POICapture icon is placed in page 4 of the tomtom main menu, thats cool with me. |

You will need to Edit the tomtom.mnu File in Notepad.
I think the Menu Item you want is
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_TRAFFIC|
If you swap the Menu Items around you can have them in any order you want.;) _________________ Richard
