have been trying to post to forum but keeps coming up invalid session when I submit ,more than likely my fault ,can be quite dense at times, what I was trying to find was the comparison of route software that showed maps from each package side by side to see the different interpretations of maps |

Posting problems with invalid session can be one of two things, either you're not logged into the forum as a valid user to post a message (as this is a requirement), or there's a problem with your cookie on your PC, as forums require a cookie be set, deleting this cookie which will be called username@pocketgpsworld.com (username where your username exists), and re-logging in should rectify it. Obviously you got it working in the end as you managed to post.
For map comparisons, check out our Map Comparisons Page which can be found under our GPS Software Reviews Menu. |

Thanks for info on map comparisons dave. The writing to forum problem seems to be from my home computer( which has belts and braces security on it since some wally erased 1/2 my windows operating system while I was on line once) I cant find the cookie that you suggested anywhere so may have to ease my belt to post to forum unless you have any other suggestions |

If you're using Internet Explorer, make sure you log out of the forum by clicking the logout link at the top of this (and all) threads.
Click TOOLS | GENERAL | SETTINGS | VIEW FILES
Explorer will open a window, make sure it's sorting in alphabetical order and look for your cookie name.
e.g. Cookie:tomthompson@pocketgpsworld.com
Delete this file, close the Window and click OK twice in Internet Explorer.
Then come back to the forum, and log in, hopefully this will fix it. If not, you've got your security settings tied down too high in Internet Explorer and need to back off to Medium security setting under TOOLS | INTERNET CONNECTIONS | PRIVACY and make sure the sider is on MEDIUM. The other thing you may have is a cookie blocker installed, or have set Internet Explorer or another application to block Cookies. If you have, then you'll get problems on a lot of sites that use Cookies to log you in. |
